    Voters Guide to Judicial Elections

    A brief description of the judicial system in California including how judges are elected, how voters can get information on judicial candidates, and what standards a voter should consider when voting on judges. A League publication.

    Open Primary

    The open primary is rather new and, this year, the way the parties will use the results of the presidential primary are essential to understand.

    To ensure your vote counts towards the actual selection of delegates to a party's presidential nominating convention, you must be registered with that party. For more information, read "Open Primary".

All citizens, men and women, of voting age are welcomed to join. The League has two roles, citizen education and advocacy. Our election services are carried out by the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (LWVCEF) and exclude all advocacy.
