What Happens At The Convention?

In odd-numbered years we host the League of Women Voters of California Convention. We offer fun events, top-notch guest speakers, instructive workshops, caucus discussions of hot topics, exciting items for sale in our marketplace, and networking opportunities for everyone. Convention allows you to see how our hands-on work leads to real change in our organization, and in our state. We hope you'll attend the next one!

As valued members of this grassroots organization, delegates have the opportunity and the responsibility to indicate the issues on which they believe the state League and all local and regional Leagues in California should focus their time, talent, money, and reputation for the next two years. In addition to voting on our issues for emphasis and studies, we also pass our budget, elect the board, pass resolutions, and give advice to the board.
